The Bible

Deut. 33:26
There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky.
Ps 91:1,2,4,5,10-12
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
Ps 139:1-3,7-10
O Lord, thou hast searched me, and known me.
Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.
Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.
Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.
If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
Gen 28:10-13 Jacob (to :),14-16 thou shalt,19 (to :),20-21
Jacob went out from Beersheba, and went toward Haran.
And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep.
And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.
And, behold, the Lord stood above it, and said, I am the Lord God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac:
thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.
And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the Lord is in this place; and I knew it not.
And he called the name of that place Bethel:
And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on,
So that I come again to my father's house in peace; then shall the Lord be my God:
Deut 32:9-13 the(to 1st ,)
the Lord's portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.
He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye.
As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:
So the Lord alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him.
He made him ride on the high places of the earth, Isa 43:1 thus,2-3 (to :),5-7
thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour:
Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west; I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth; Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.
Isa 51:4,6 my salvation
Hearken unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall proceed from> me, and I will make my judgment to rest for a light of the salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.
Ps 1:1-6
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
Isa 26:3
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
Deut 31:6
Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
Heb 13:6
So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
I John 4:18 fear hath
fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
I John 4:18 (to :)
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear:
Ps 121:7,8
The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
II Cor 6:2 behold

Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures

By Mary Baker Eddy

SH 39:18-22
Now,cried the apostle, is the accepted time; behold,
now is the day of salvation, meaning, not that
now men must prepare for a future-world salvation,
or safety, but that now is the time in which
to experience that salvation in spirit and in life.
197:16 (only)
We should master fear, instead of cultivating it.
SH 495:16
Let neither fear nor doubt overshadow your clear sense and calm trust, that the recognition of life harmonious as Life eternally is can destroy any painful sense of, or belief in, that which Life is not. Let Christian Science, instead of corporeal sense, support your understanding of being, and this understanding will supplant error with Truth, replace mortality with immortality, and silence discord with harmony.
SH 231:21-25
To fear sin is to misunderstand the power of Love and the divine Science of being in man's relation to God, to doubt His government and distrust His omnipotent care. SH 232:7-8
Security for the claims of harmonious and eternal being is found only in divine Science. SH 446:20
To understand God strengthens hope, enthrones faith in Truth, and verifies Jesus' word: "Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.
SH 494:15-19 Jesus
SH 574:27-30
The very circumstance, which your suffering sense deems wrathful and afflictive, Love can make an angel entertained unawares.
SH 216:18
The great mistake of mortals is to suppose that man, God's
image and likeness, is both matter and Spirit, both good
and evil.
SH 234:31-3
Evil thoughts and aims reach no farther and do no more
harm than one's belief permits. Evil thoughts, lusts, and
malicious purposes cannot go forth, like wandering pollen,
from one human mind to another, finding unsuspected
lodgment, if virtue and truth build a strong defence.
Resisting evil, you overcome it and prove its nothingness.
SH 330:27
Evil is nothing, no thing, mind, nor power.
As manifested by mankind it stands for a lie,
nothing claiming to be something, — for lust, dishonesty,
selfishness, envy, hypocrisy, slander, hate, theft, adultery,
murder, dementia, insanity, inanity, devil, hell, with all
the etceteras that word includes.
SH 94:14
Tyranny, intolerance, and bloodshed, wherever found,
arise from the belief that the infinite is formed after the
pattern of mortal personality, passion, and impulse.
As of old, evil still charges the spiritual idea with error's
own nature and methods. This malicious animal instinct,
of which the dragon is the type, incites mortals to
kill morally and physically even their fellow-mortals, and
worse still, to charge the innocent with the crime. This
last infirmity of sin will sink its perpetrator into a night
without a star.
The sins of others should not make good
men suffer.
SH 394:24
Are material means
the only refuge from fatal chances? Is there no divine
permission to conquer discord of every kind with harmony,
with Truth and Love?
SH 494:10-11
Divine Love always has met and always will meet every
human need.
SH 514:26-28
Understanding the control which Love held over all,
Daniel felt safe in the lions' den, and Paul proved the
viper to be harmless.
SH 454:18-21
Love inspires,
illumines, designates, and leads the way. Right motives
give pinions to thought, and strength and freedom to
speech and action.
SH 352:29-30
The objects of alarm will then vanish into nothingness,
no longer seeming worthy of fear or honor.
The history of Christianity furnishes sublime proofs
of the supporting influence and protecting power bestowed
on man by his heavenly Father, omnipotent
Mind, who gives man faith and understanding
whereby to defend himself, not only from temptation, but
from bodily suffering.
The divine Mind that made man
maintains His own image and likeness.
All that really exists is the divine Mind and
its idea, and in this Mind the entire being is found harmonious
and eternal.
Science (in this instance named natural) raises
the human thought above the cruder theories of the
human mind, and casts out a fear.
SH 419:25-28
Never fear the mental malpractitioner,
the mental assassin, who, in attempting to rule mankind,
tramples upon the divine Principle of metaphysics, for God
is the only power.
SH 454:5
The understanding, even in a degree, of the divine All-power destroys
fear, and plants the feet in the true path,
the path which leads to the house built without hands
eternal in the heavens." Human hate has no legitimate
mandate and no kingdom. Love is enthroned.
That evil or matter has neither intelligence nor power,
is the doctrine of absolute Christian Science, and this is
the great truth which strips all disguise from error.
SH 471:18-19
God is infinite, therefore ever present, and
there is no other power nor presence.
SH 470:32
The relations of God and man, divine Principle and
idea, are indestructible in Science; and Science knows
no lapse from nor return to harmony, but holds the divine
order or spiritual law, in which God and all that He creates
are perfect and eternal, to have remained unchanged
in its eternal history.
SH 521:12
The harmony and immortality of man are intact. We
should look away from the opposite supposition that man
is created materially, and turn our gaze to the spiritual
record of creation, to that which should be engraved on
the understanding and heart "with the point of a diamond"
and the pen of an angel.
SH 174:9-14
The footsteps of thought, rising above material standpoints,
are slow, and portend a long night to the traveller;
but the angels of His presence — the spiritual
intuitions that tell us when "the night is far
spent, the day is at hand are our guardians in the
